It takes a brave person to even attempt to bring back the Cut Price Life Hacks segment, it's takes an imbecile to try and cram it into a Gannon's Golden Games, but that's what Paul has done this week, and he may live to regret it. Elsewhere in the podcast, Eli is on a sauce and noodle mission and he is sick and tired of Paul's constant harassment, so he is taking it to HR. Again. In retaliation, Paul also goes to see the management... They may be losing their minds. Will an underwhelming Country Urban Noodle Testlab Kitchen segment make things all better? The answer is no. Not at all! Join us for another bargain basement podcast adventure!
227 - ACTION JAM NEWS
It's an episode of “firsts” this week. It's the first time you get to properly meet Margery Craddock and her “back alley machines” and it's the first time Paul tries to create a segment that directly competes with The Sauce Report. Both don't go very well. At all. Despite all this, there is still plenty of time for some CheapShow favourites. There is a sitcom flavoured Tales from the Shop Floor and a Price of Shite that's packed with random nonsense and P'twings. Will Eli be able to work his mouth? Will Paul lose his mind over his latest “extreme sports” creation? What does the shocking secret recording of Mr Biffo say? You'll find out this week!
226 - BACK TO THE THRIFT SHOP
Paul & Eli once again escape the House of Pickles to venture back on to the High Streets and investigate the newly opened Charity Shops. After months of endless, wistful window shopping, the Cheap Chaps can now go inside and see what treasures they can find amongst the trash. It's another simpler out and about episode (so soon?) where they challenge each other to find a strange vinyl record, a good gift for one another... and one bad gift. What will they discover? How many Clankerman locations can Eli find? Where will they eat their cheap eats? Is Paul going to be disappointed? What does Eli step in? Find out this week, because we're going back... Back to the Thrift Shop!
225 - WICKER BUNGLE
We're back in the House of Pickles for more scatological, economical red hot podcast action! This week we are gifted with another bespoke Price of Shite from our PO Box, and in a twist to the normal routine, these offerings have been sourced from the infamous wish.com! As a result, each item is more perplexing than the last! It's also time again to dive into Eli's dusty old record box for a Spotlight Edition of Silverman's Platter. The focus this week is on an album based on the hit UK kids TV show "Rainbow". Paul & Eli talk about the the characters, the songs, the rotating line up of musical acts and bust a few Rainbow myths at the same time. Finally, following an act of violence, Eli decides to report Paul to HR. It's just a shame that Paul is the head of HR...
224 - THE (NOT VERY) PAGAN PICNIC
Spring is in the air, there's more daylight and there are (hopefully) brighter days ahead! With all that said, it's up to Paul & Eli to ruin all that joyous potential with another of their occasional "walkabout" episodes! This week, CheapShow seeks renewal, rebirth or at the very least, a quiet picnic out of the way of other humans. Their journey, though short, will take them from a small park in Twickenham, via a famous island and on towards a surprisingly symbolic finale at Old Deer Park in Richmond! Along the way there are arguments, historical discoveries, a bit of Easter knowledge, a cunning plot to kidnap an elderly YouTuber and a plan to sacrifice Cheggers for the greater good. It's CheapShow, so expect the totally expected!
